a doc series about the people who feed you
BREADWINNERS
Breadwinners is a five-part mini docuseries that examines the relationship between New Yorkers and the people who feed them. By focusing on farmers, food distributors, and cooks, the series explores access to sustenance, the power of land, and the magic of community.
Shot in Fall of 2022 by a six-person entirely female-identifying and/or nonbinary production crew, the easily digestible 10-minute episodes are food stories grounded in human stories.
Co-created and Co-directed by Courtney and her creative partner Emily Delaney, the series is their first child :)
